slicklee Apr 11th, 09, 7:56 PM I am reupholstering the interior of my 1972 Chevelle. I have these buckets in it which I believe (not sure) are '70's. Just purchased some seat covers from PUI but haven't opened them yet. Will the 72 covers fit on these seats? and are these in fact 1970 buckets. Any help will be appreciated. Mine were just recovered in cloth. Finally Apr 11th, 09, 9:10 PM 69 covers are different I believe but those are the same as my 70. They do need to be recovered because whoever did it before didn't do a very good job. Notice how the seams are wavey, and the covers are flat, should have more curve, puff, to them. They've been redone before. Seats are the same for 70 > 72. I'm installing PUI covers right now, have one bucket seat back to finish. Make sure you read the post in this forum on recovering seats. Do you mean the pattern for the seat covers or foam? I've attached pics of the covers but am confused as where the rods go to pull down the covers should go. I wonder why they made the change? They look good with 69-70 style of having the seems hog ringed down. But the 72 seat covers do not have any thing there to pull it down. RichF | ||
