: Trim Tag info

I wanted to confirm the reference on my trim tag. It has "E 2L" at the bottom of the trim tag. Does a letter in front of a group designation (E in front of 2 here) automatically refer to group 1? So this E designation on my car would mean it had tinted windows in group 1 as opposed to air conditioning in group 2.
Thanks,
Bob

I thought so, but...
I bought your CD recently, Mike, and use it all the time. I highly recommend it.
Thanks,
Bob

That's nice to know Bob.. Thank you.. I think that you will find the more and more you read, the more you will find in that CD, esp. in the RESTORATION DETAIL section. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

tinted windows in group 1 as opposed to air conditioning in group 2. I wasn't sure what you meant by "opposed", so I thought I'd reply.

Most air conditioned 1966 Chevelles, K code in group 2 (E code in 67), also have E (all windows tinted) in group 1. I realize your car doesn't have A/C, I just wanted to comment that most A/C cars would have both codes, since they were separate options.
