It seems that the seller is listing this as his 1st auction and I'd bet that the single bid is from a buddy who's also inexperienced with Ebay. They will both be reprimanded if caught.

This hood is probably one of the newer repros from either Tamraz, or the Parts Place. One of them stepped up to get it done. They are still expensive, like $1600. A real deal NOS hood would probably fetch in the neighborhood of $3-4000, possibly a bit more. If it were legit, I would be showing pics of a GM sticker on the hood. I'd put money on Davis being right on....

I bet ebay hopes they do it 100 more times. Between the list and sellers fee they will make some money and the rookies will learn a lesson.

And with the fees Ebay charges they'll never have a corruption issue!

at $10,000 the fees are well over $100...not worth fooling around. I bet it gets cancelled...

In a better economy, I have seen perfect used original hoods go for upwards of $5k believe it ir not! This hood is supposedly NOS but they have not shown proof or even taken any decent pics of it! There are guys out there with the bucks that might pay crazy $$$ for NOS but I too believe this is a hype auction with a buddy bidder and no real bids will be made on it!

GM didnt make these in steel. Only fiber glass with a steel under belly.

X2. And they are being reproduced. Saw a nice reproduction at last years Fall Carlisle, and if I rememder the price was under 2K.
