hello guys

i 'm new to this so be patient.

i have a 1966 chevelle with a 327(stock) and Rochester carburator(stock). Once the car is started,i have no problems with it running on the road. When I need to accerate, no problems. I'm have problems starting starting the car hot and cold.

Cold
if it been sitting a more than 1 week, i have to pump the gas pedal to fill the carburator bowls. Then it starts up no problem.

hot
if i park the car 10 minutes or 1 hours. It does not turn right away. The starter turns the engine but does not catch the first couple of times.

the carburator has been rebuilt in 2000 and with a new fuel pump in 2000

Hope i provided enough info.

I just remember my old chevelle turning everytime i turned the key over.

Please provide some feed back so that i can focus on the carburator area.

thanks in advance

Sounds like it's time to get down and dirty and R&R that fuel pump!.....Check the fuel pump push rod while you're at it!.....You may also want to check and adjust the float in the carb!

Check your fuel filter or maybe a pin hole in the fuel line
