Just wandering I am trying to find out some info on an 1970 chevelle. Where would the protecto plate be on this car? Also is there any way to get any info on the car besides normal stuff from the vin # and the Cowl tag? Thanks

In the glove compartment. The POP was a credit card size piece of plastic/metal that came attached to the warranty book and was not affixed to the car itself. The only way to find out what the car originally came with is to locate the build sheet and IF it's still in the car, somewhere under/in/behind the seats, door panels, headliner, kick panels, etc. are likely locations to find one, again, IF there was one left in the car from the assembly line. If it was Canadian built, you can get a list of the options on the car from GM of Canada for $30-$40 or so from what I hear. If it was built in the U.S., supposedly there are no records to be found in the GM archives although it's rumored that someone did find this information and is trying to compile it.

I have numerous examples of 70 POPs starting here (http://www.chevellestuff.com/70velle/70_pop.htm).
