on the back, drivers side
T24

on the back pass. side

the i's may be one's or t's or L's but i cant really tell.
thanks in advance for any help.

The 'CNN' suffix indicates a 1970 350cid/245-250 L65 engine from Tonawanda, NY on November 13 (1969). It's common to see the letter 'I' substituted for the number '1'. The other stamping would seem to indicate the donor car, 1970 (0), Willow Run (W), 19 806 would seem to be missing a number if it's the last six digits of the donor VIN.

I don't find a "T" in a casting date but that's what the T24 appears to be.

could the T24 be some sort of timing code? i noticed it is right next to what looks to be a timing picture... a circle of dots with an arrow pointing out from the center. as far as the tonawanda, that is so cool the engine was built right around the corner from me practically. Also, what does the Willow Run mean?
if i could get the partial vin, could i find out what kind of car the engine came out of?
thank you so much for the help you've given already.

Willow Run is the plant in Michigan where Novas were built. If the '0W' is very clear, then for sure the motor came out of a 70 Nova. As Dale says, there should be six numbers following the 'W'. Sometimes, due to wear in the stamps, aging, and/or 'operator error', they don't all show up equally. The circle with dots and the pointer shows approximately what time of day the block was cast.

Thanks so much Dale and Bill for your help. I'll be sure to call and let my dad know the info tonight. I gotta tell you, it really stinks only being able to work on the car 2 hours every other saturday. It's taken me and my dad almost a year just to get the body off the frame. Anyways, thanks again guys. your knowledge is priceless.
