Just received new seat slide knobs what is best way to remove old ones they seem solid on there, is it just best to brake or cut them off and slid new ones on. Thanks

They should pull off. Try pecking them with a rubber hammer or putting a cloth over them and then grab with a pair of pliers and wiggle and pull.
Might even try squirting a little WD40 up inside.
