I have buckets to a '64 pontiac or buick and the chrome side pieces are different than what was on the '64. Anybody know how to remove those large retainers at the articulating end of the chrome strip? Looks like they just push on but I can't seem to get one off without bending it up.

Eric, I've never been able to get those off without damaging them. If someone else has figured out a way, I'd like to know also. When I've put the new ones on, I usually use a socket that fits over the new cap and gently tap them on until they seat properly. Hope this helps. 64elkynss

I see OPGI sells new caps so I think I'll just cut them off with my cutoff wheel. Thanks for the install tip.

I ended up using my cutoff wheel to cut slices into each one in a box pattern. Once you cut deep enough they just pop right off.
