I have decoded my whole trim tag except after the production date (07B) there is 033373080569 can any one tell me what this means if it is anything. Thanks for any input.

That is most likely one of those codes that the factory put in there to ID a special order or option delete. Most of those codes are not able to be deciphered.

A model year and plant would be helpful, it does make a difference. Different years AND different plants within years put different information on the body plate.

Have any of those other codes ever been able to be deciphered yet? I have actually been wondering about that for a while.

Sorry about that, it is a July 1970 Malibu V8 built at Van Nuys, Ca. Thanks And also the last 6 vin digits are 206170, does that mean it is the 6,170 chevelle built at van nuys.

033373080569 is the Data Processing Sequence Number. It has nothing to do with special order or options. Just a number used in the plant for processing.............................

The production sequence number for 1970 models begins with 100001, so this would be 106170 model
