I need help with this one.
If i gave it some gas when i got off the pedel the trans would make a squishy sucking sound, the fluid was correct.so i had it removed and rebuilt.Got the car back, the trans makes the same noise but now its when i start to take off and it wont take 3rd gear under full throttle but does engage with part throttle.I removed the pan and it was clean, just for kicks i had a shift kit installed and its still make the noise.
it does have a 10" boss hog convertor thats rated at 2500rpm for the stall
and the rearend has 3.31 gears with 26" tires.
I had a 70 454 chevelle with a 10 convertor and 3.08 gears and it made the same sound when i got out of the gas.I put 4.56 gears in it and the sound went away.
Could i need a bigger gear in the rearend.
I though i would ask you guys before i have the trans removed and install a known good t350.
Thanks for your help

Are you sure it's even the transmission making the noise? Kind of sounds like a heater core when its low on coolant and the coolant swashes around when you take off.
