Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the inside of a wiper motor? There is a wirewound resistor that has a loose leg and I can't figure where it goes. Motor is the recessing type.

Thanks,

Jim

I don't have it at my finger tips but the Fisher Body manual has the diagram you are looking for.

I found a diagram in the 1970 Fisher manual page 12-42, fig. 75 and it shows the resistor lead just hanging loose and not connected to anything so i'm still confused.

Thanks again,

Jim

I tried taking a picture tonite, no-go. I'll try my best to describe it.

The 20 ohm wire-wound resistor....

One end connects to the terminal closest to the the rubber bushing on the motor housing that has the brass ground strap/and ground eyelet.

The other end of the resistor connects to the tang that has a spring on it closest to the upper right bushing mount holder as you face the motor.

Does that even make sense? I'm tired.

Thanks for the info Joe! It looks like the resistor on my motor is broken after all in the center, so I will probably just get another motor. I was surprised that Auto Zone has them rebuilt for about 53.00 bucks.
