ok,i just posted in the wrong place.sorry.i just got a nova that had buckets and center console out of a chevelle.its part of a collection of chevy stuff i bought.abot 3 tractor trailors worth.lol.the nova has a 307 in it and i was told it was from the chevelle.the motor is is very very good shape and its been sitting in a garage fopr 20+ years.here are the code i got off it.intake=3997773.front panel on block is=vi117toj.rear is 3970020.heads 3898820.any help guys.

those head are for a 350.so much for the motor being stock.3970020 is a 307.andyone no the cc and valve size on those heads.mortec says the year and thats all.

Take another look at this, V1117TOJ but the O is not supposed to be there. I and 1 are used interchangeably.

btw-The T in the suffix is pointing to this engine as coming from a Truck

Taking a guess I would say the suffix is TCJ which would be a 1973 307-155hp manual trans, 2-bbl carb RPO L14 used in 1/2 ton trucks, Chevy and GMC
