Carried the Chevelle out last night to the start of out City's local event called 1st Fiday. When it gets warm all the cars come out. On the 1st Friday of each month the city shuts down the 4-lane road thats runs straight down the city for 11 blocks. They have cars and bikes which last night was over 300. They have local bands come in and have different music on every other block. Lots of food vendors all the resturants and stores are open so something for everyone to do. Lots of things for kids Last night was warn 60's and there were several 1000 there just a safe and clean way to get out with the Family. Each street intersection has Police so there is NO crap going on.
Can't wait till next month.

Also a car show in downtown Kennesaw tomorrow.
Love the start of the cruise in schedule, one every weekend somewhere close by.
And of course less than a month from the kick off of the Peach State Chevelle Show
Thing is they are also talking snow possible by monday night, so no tomatoes in the ground just yet.

Believe it or not... my first trip out up here was about a month ago, I've had both cars out for a ride already.:thumbsup:

It was a beautiful afternoon here for a cruise in, the weather was just perfect! Real good turn out too, there wasn't a parking spot left anywhere in town.

Spring isn't here yet I'm afraid. There is still a fair bit of snow on the ground but it is melting slowly. I went over to my buddies where my 69SS is stored in his shop. I fired it up and he started his 69 Z-28(real numbers car), 64 ChevelleSS with a healthy 396, and his 66Nova SS. Hearing all four of them idling has me really anxious for this white crap on the ground to go away. Soon I hope.

Around here, it is trying to be spring...snow long gone, 50* today BUT.....all next wk a threaqt of wet snow / rain mix and temps in the 30's during the day and may go down into the 20's some nights. I guess the car will stay in the garage for a while yet. For those that can...have at it cuz I'm jealous!

No, didn't make it....i also do cruise-ins and car shows...in fact i deejay a show in Talladega this coming saturday, April 11th. The season is getting cranked up and as always........."Good Times, Great Oldies". ......Rock & Roll and cars ........as good as it gets....i do want to get up your way and check it out....thats a great crowd for a Friday night!
