Are there any differences between a Chevelle and Elcamino heater box? The box that holds the heater core. I bought one on Ebay and I think I got took. This is the first time somebody got me on Ebay for anything like this. In the add it says no returns. I got it for about 45.00 with shipping. The add says it was pulled out of a 69 Elcamino but I got my doubts.

I do not know of any difference between the EC and Chevelle parts. There will be a significant difference between the heater-only part and the AC box, assuming that the part you are referring to is the one in the engine compartment. For visual reference, try looking at the photos of engine compartments shown in the ebay ads for Chevelles. Just what is wrong with the box you got?

Talking about the one under the dash where the heater core is located. I know there is a difference in the A/C and non A/C. I am beginning to think this thing is not even a Chevelle box at all. I think I got took. I have been on Ebay and checked others for sale and it looks quite a bit different.

The heater box in a 69 Chevelle is the same as 69 El Camino. I know what it should look like. If you post a picture of it, or email me a picture, I can tell you if it's for an El Camino or not.
