Found an engine today, still with the cartridge type filter on it, casting 3902406. According to Mortec, its a '67 2 or 4 bolt block. On the pad is T0916IV and 7D114498. What is it from? The heads are cast 3904393, which is '68-'76 oval port open chamber 366T :( What size chambers and valves do these have, and are they anything more than scrap? Thanks.

Here's some of the information Dave.
My source book indicates "T0916IV" as a Tonowanda Engine, September 16, 1966, Full Size Chevrolet, 396 CI, 325 HP (not sure of what tranny).
7D114498 - "7" is for year 1967. "D" is for Doraville Assembly Plant. "114498" would be the last six digits of the serial number of the original car for this engine.
Hope this helps.

Engine is from a big Chevy car, Biscayne, Impala etc. No Chevelle's built at Doraville till 1974.

Thanks! The shortblock is good, the heads can be used to hold open the shop doors on nice days ;)

Not all truck heads are "peanut" port heads.... I belive mortec.com puts "peanut" port in description if U look up the casting # on their site. I just recently bought a motor that had 74 heads on them that had PASS cast into them, the casting # didnt look familiar ( should have been # 781's) and they were peanut port heads...I have never seen that before.

Mortec identifies these heads as 366T, no chamber or valve size. Thy also have the word "truck" cast into them. I'v heard that the only thing useable from a 366 is the rods.
