Okay, I've read all the tech info, the past posts and I'm getting mixed reviews so I'll ask the question again to my specific car. I want to convert from drum to disc (front only) on my 67 Chevelle SS. I have a 396/350 with a Muncie 4speed and power steering, radial T/A's and rally rims. I drive it some, would drive it more if I had better stopping power, thus, the conversion.

So, which brake conversion kit would you guys recommend and any tips for installation would be welcome. I truely value all of your opinions so please respond. Thank You, Barry:)

Hey Barry After I looked at all the different options, I did find some stuff was metric or S-10 parts, some had 10" rotors , Some companies said modifications Might be needed (or Not) and were not sure if 15" rims would fit.
I finally went with Inline Tube As my supplier for my 69 convertible. Everything fit perfectly and no surprises. Will fit 14"rims also
Disc brakes were an option in 69 so the parts in their kit are year specific for a 69. So if I ever need parts- just go to the parts house and get 69 chevelle parts. Easy to remember. Some aftermarket stuff is great quality but all future parts has to be ordered from them (OEM). Hope that helps----- Bruce

If you have drums on the front. You do know that a simple procedure can allow you to bolt on discs right? You dont need to go out and buy spindles for this.
