Sorry for such a basic question. I did search the archives and could not find the answer. Where is the block casting date found on a '69 396? How is it deciphered?

should be on the drivers side of the block down by the motor mount....format..letter A-I for month...day 1-31 and year 6,7,8,9 etc..good luck.
