I found a 69 chevelle with a vin configuration I haven't seen before. On the dash board vin it reads as follows (with the spacing too)

13637 9G353XXX

(XXX) represents the last 3 numbers of the vin

My question is have you seen a space such as above between the "7" and the "9"?

My 68 chevelle was built in Fremont CA and it has a space there also between 5 and 6 digits.

Have a Framingham and KC VIN (http://www.chevellestuff.com/69velle/trim_tag_decoding.htm) here for comparison. Looks alright...the leading "1" isn't even aligned with the next 4 digits.
