I just purchased an an xbox component cable. The BIN was for 7.49 with free shipping, Paypal required. Once I comitted to buy it takes me to this market place checkout system to process my order. Once there it states S&H .99 and there is no way to remove it. Pretty deceptive practice if you ask me. Once you commit to purchase your stuck unless you want negative feedback left. I informed them in the comments section of the order form that I would leave appropriate feedback for their deceptive practice. Granted .99 isn't going to brake me it's just the thought that the item was advertised with free shipping. First time I've had that happen to me. Pete

I would report them to Ebay.

yep, if you complete the transaction you can slam them, and they can either leave good feedback or no feedback, but they cannot hurt your feedback at all. The seller is no longer allowed to leave bad feedback if the buyer does his part.

I had an item I bid on and was the winning bidder. The item on the opening screen where the photo is, it said shipping free. In the description of the item, he ended the write-up with: ...and best of all the shipping is free.
When I went to pay for the item I noticed that the seller left me a message saying he would find out how much the shipping would be, but, he estimated about $15. I sent a message back stating the ad said free shipping and he should honor the statement.

His explanation was that it was free shipping within Australia only. At the very bottom of the ad there is a couple of boxes with different shipping costs and the one within Australia was free while the others had no price. I told him he should honor the free shipping or at the very least he should deduct the costs of the shipping that he was willing to pay. I never heard back from him.
