Has anyone ever seen the digits "396" stamped on their deck pad, almost diagonally across the pad. Still no sign of decking or restamp, but I've never heard anyone state they've seen this. This was on a '69, JA block. Just curious.

I have seen this, but it was from a machine shop (not the factory), used to identify the engine cores they had stored...
