Had ordered the hump but don't understand how it's suppose to work. The hole is too small. The car is a column shift converted to a bench seat floor shifter. I had a pic of the hump but could not post it. My carpet would not work to cover it and the retainer ring for the boot is too big for it also.

Thanks
Shane

Not 100% sure what the problem is here but a pic would help. Sounds to me like it's fire wrench or tin snips time.

Is the non console hump for the bench seat & 4 speed? If so, that is a part created by the vendors. They never came from the factory with that hump. Your stock bezel wont fit it.

In 67, 4 speed bench seat cars used a large chrome bezel that sat above the carpet. IMO they are really ugly, so I knew ahead of time I wasn't going to use it.

I used the same incorrect 4 speed hump you are using, but I used a repro Hurst bezel & rubber boot from a 69 Z28. Fits perfectly & looks like it could be factory original.

EDIT: You will have to enlarge the hole in that hump ifyou decide to use. My hurst shifter would not clear it on 2nd & 4th gear shifts.

Thanks for the answer Pete67. Can I use the hump for a console car and use the boot and retainer which is for a 67, which I bought from Ground Up?

Thanks
Shane
