Hi Mike,
The driveshaft length will remain the same. You can also reuse the crossmember. The Flywheel will need to be changed and you need to purchase a Bellhousing, Clutch Disc, Pressure Plate and Throwout Bearing.
Is your Chevelle an automatic on the column or on the floor?
In any event you will need the shifter hump for a manual transmission. You will need the Clutch and Brake Pedal Set, Z Bar, etc. If your Chevelle has a console, you will need to change out the console and wiring.
Hope this gives you a good start.

Mike,

I recently did this exact swap on my '72. It is definitely worth it if you want to have a stick car. I bought the conversion kit from Ground Up for the pedals, Z-Bar, clutch linkage. Purchased a new Hurst Comp-Plus shifter; new GMPP 14" flywheel; new LUK pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing and input shaft bushing kit; a used 621 bellhousing and used M-20. I never added up the total costs, but I am guessing around a $1000. I did all the work myself. If you don't already have the transmission, be very careful buying a used one. I bought on eBay, and got lucky. Others have not been so lucky.
