13437 = MODEL 133-13437 ~ 2-DOOR SPORT COUPE, 5-PASSENGER
BAL =Baltimore assembly plant
271657 = sequential build number
752 ~ Black Pattern Coated Fabric

Oh, OK, I see ( I think) :D
I was just curious because like I said it is a Model 134, not 133.

thanks guys...my understanding is the 13437 means its a 300 deluxe...any idea how many 300 deluxe bench seat 4spd orange SS's were made that year?

Well ,NO.
300 deluxe would be
CHEVELLE 300 DELUXE SERIES 133-13400
MODEL 133-13427 ~ 2-DOOR COUPE, 5-PASSENGER

Again ,from Dales site -unedited.

Both Fisher Body Style numbers 13327 and 13427 are 300 Deluxe Coupes. The VIN would dictate a L6 or V8 and since the paint code is 72 indicating Monaco Orange. The 271657 on the trim tag is not a sequential build number. While it may appear to be sequential there are several examples of 69 Baltimore tags where this is not the case. If they were truly sequential and even if they started with 100001, Baltimore reportedly built 114,385 Chevelles in 1969 and I have tags with numbers as high as 292049. It is the ID number found on the Body Broadcast Sheet from Baltimore in 1969 but it's simply a data processing tracking number. How it's arrived at...anybody's guess.

No figures were ever kept as to how many of any option went into/onto any body style and certainly no combination of options; not 4-speeds, not air conditioning, not sport stripes, nada. There are unbiased calculations based on the number of an option sold and the number of body styles it could have been ordered with, but they are a statistical possibility and not based on any facts. Color choices were not tracked, or at least no numbers ever released that I'm aware of.

The only option I can think of that can be tracked to a particular body style is RPO L35 in 1966 and 1967. RPO L35 is the base 396/325hp engine for the SS396 (and therefore not an option) but was an option in the 13480 & 13680 El Camino body styles. So, all optioned RPO L35 engines in those two years went into El Caminos.

The bench seat in a 300 Deluxe is easy, all of them had bench seats. Buckets were only available in the Malibu sport coupe, convertible, and pickup.
