Not much we can tell you with the VIN.

136679B389599
1 - Chevrolet Division of GM
36 Malibu V8 (optional engines are not coded)
67 - Convertible
B - Baltimore Final assembly
389599 - Production Sequence Serial number, Started at 300000 in 1969 and went up. Each plant is the same, so this is the 89,599 Chevelle model out of Baltimore.

As for the built sheet (BS). If its not with the car then you are out of luck. BS's (manu in use for each car) were left during final assembly. Not supposed to come with car but were just considered trash after the part(s) were installed. Due to the amount of cars being built they never cleaned up after each other and if a part like the carpet hid the 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, the hell with it was the motto. If the car has never been touched, one could be hiding anywhere out of sight. You have to often tear the car apart to stumble upon one.

Maybe Baltimore owners can give you hints but doe not be surprised if a cheap piece of paper has not survived 35 yrs.

And it was built 9948 units before mine at BAL. :D My build sheet (found two) one inside the springs of the rear seat bottom and one beneath the carpet under the driver's seat.
