On my 70, the cowl tag shows "BT" Baltimore for the assembly plant but the VIN shows "R" Arlington. I know the car has not been tampered with. What gives?

Wait a minute, BT is not the code for Baltimore, its for Arlington assembly. 1970 Chevelles built in Arlington used BT on body tags. Nothing wrong.

Your right elcamino. Just looked on chevellestuff.com and found R or BT on the trim tag is OK for a Arlington built car. Thanks!
