Has anyone sent a water pump to Custom Water Pumps (formerly San Diego Pump Exchange) in Sault St. Maire, MI recently for a rebuild? I sent one there about two weeks ago, states one day turn around. I have heard nothing, no answers to my email, and the phone has been disconnected. It was shipped insured and the USPS states they delivered it. They came recommended by other members here so I shipped it there just as the web site states. I guessing I might be out an original water pump!:(

I've never heard of them. I have a local guy that rebuilds water pumps and things like that.

Hey Scott, I used them about 4 or 5 years ago. Had no problems then. Pump came back (If I remember) about two weeks later, still on the car today. If I remember right I think they are a small family business, maybe there on vacation.

Thanks Brian for the web site of the of the "mail box". I called them and the pump is still there waiting pick up. I was told that Custom Pumps come in regularly and must be on vacation. Feel better now! What was your former career? I'm guessing you did the same as I did!
