I read a lot on here about wheels/tires
what I think I am going to do is stick with 15" Amer racing torque thrust 2.1 rims front 15x7 235/60 rear 15x8 255/60
this gives the lower fat squatty look and a good ride
I would like to know what the 17" wheels ride like. They do indeed look nice, but do you suffer a bit on the ride?
I drive my cars like I stole them, not just a sunday cruiser, I drive them a lot and the ride quality is important

I am running 17" wheels with 35 series for rear and 40 series for front... Wheels/Tires aren't the only thing to consider when talking ride comfort. Springs, shocks and the fatigue of both all play into ride quality. Not to mention, The entire setup is more important than just an opinion on ride quality based on wheels.
That being said, I have a Daily driver with 18s, 40 series front, 45 series rear. It is a sports car so ride is firm and stable.

Scott, Check out my link. My '66 has the 17's,235/45,frt,255/45,rear. I was running the 15's,and the 17's were a major upgrade in handling and ride. The Chevelle still has the stock brakes and shocks, everything new,but original...Bob

Hey Scott,
I run 17" 275/40 on all four corners. The ride is firm but not harsh-perfect. Like mentioned earlier it also depends on the springs, shocks and suspension setup that you are using. I drive mine whenever the sun is out in Oregon-ok, so I drive it twice a year.
