I know this is a Chevelle forum but I thought a 68 Impala might have the same break down for codes. Might someone be able to break down these codes to tell me if this block is a #'s matching block on his car?

Brian, what i have is a 350 small block 300 hp w/turbo 400 hiper,out of a passenger vehicle,the 181248 is probably the vin/partial vin of the car that motor was out of, hope this helps, tom..

This is actually a true SS but the SS was not in the VIN from 68-72. The SS option was a package option like the Z15 or Z25. This has all of the SS package items still on the car. This car is all original and has just been restored to Factory conditions.
