I have a 7.4l that i believe is out of a light truck. Engine casting number is 19069286. It's a 4 bolt, two piece rear main. Not sure if it's gen 4 or gen 5 though. Can anyone tell me any more info about this casting number? Thanks

I already did, pretty much checked everything that was free and could find nothing. Was hoping somebody here had a chevy manual that included light trucks also.

I don't find that number (or anything close) on my 65-91 big block list.

I belive the block U have is a 1989 454. GM used the #445 casting # from 80-89 and then used another # in 1989 but I cant remember the casting #. Yours sounds like it, being a 2piece rear main its a gen 4 all mark5/6 were one piece rear main. The block should have a date on the back opisite of casting#. If the block says 7.4 on side its a 454 and newer than 1979. Look at the distance between top waterpump bolt and deck to make sure its not a tall deck, have heard they made some 454 tall deck motors but havent ever seen one to verify that.

thanks for the info supersport6667, yes the block is stamped with a 7.4 on the side and no it is not a tall deck. I looked at the # on the rear of the pass side and it is B060. Does that tell you anything? if so please let me know. thanks for the help.
