Hello All,

Just took ownership of a 1971 Chevelle 350 Malibu. It had been sitting for the last 12 years and the motor and transmission had been sold out of it. I plan on restoring and revitalizing the beautiful car over the next several years.

Ok a little bit about me. Grew up around Chevelle's and Nova's, I am 25 now and spent 6 years in the Navy as a Electronics Technician. Have been out for 2 years this coming June. Have been married a little over a year and my wife is great she can't wait to go cruising when i get this hot rod finished. i took 96 pictures to document the car as it sits now and will be taking pictures and video over the next few years as i restore the car to show what I have done and where it is going.

I am going to post the link to the photobucket site that has the pictures so feel free to take a look and let me know what you think.

Respectfully,

Jonathan

Jonathan,
Welcome to the site. It looks like you have your work cut out for you. These cars can be alot of work but are worth it in the end. Good luck on your project. Just looking at the frame pictures you may need a new frame with all the rust and rusted out area in your frame.

Its been raining everyday since I brought her home, and they are calling for rain this whole weekend. Next week she's getting a much needed bath. As soon as i get enough money she will be getting sanded down and primed to slow the rust that is there (and make her less of a eye sore to the neighbors). this weekend I am pricing tools that i will need. I have no tools now and am starting from scratch on a shoe string budget. Good thing I have a understanding wife.
