Hey guys here are some pictures of my current project, I am getting a bit bogged down, but I guess we all get there form time to time.
This has been a 12 year project so far, its getting close. Still need to get the wheels and get it lowered.

Getting there alright. Before you get the front end completely put together you might consider painting the headlamp bezels and grille extensions to match the center grille. The center grille is correct for an SS but the headlamp bezels and grille extensions are 300/300 Deluxe/Malibu scheme.

Note the number of bright horizontal bars match those of the center gille section.

Ok thanks I had not noticed that, the outer grille extensions are NOS parts the headlight bezels are ropos and they suck, the paint is glosssy not semi flat and the metal looks cheep. They will be replaced.

Well I want a tremec 5 speed and a 572 but since I blew most of the budget on the paint 18k(ouch) I am putting a muncie 4 speed and a 454 in it for now. Pump gas 450 to 500 horse.

I hear ya on the budget. My trans is about to dump on me so i'm gonna go with a 700R4 for now instead of the TKO600 because I'm gathering up all my suspension, brakes etc before I start my frame off and I want to continue to drive the car until then. Nothin wrong with a BBC and a 4spd though, gonna be lots of fun either way!

The 700r4 will be an easy swap, you will love the overdrive. Yours is a 68 right. That is cool body, I almost ended up with a 69 a while back.

the color is a variation of torch red from the 95 corvette colors, i went a bit darker but still very bright. Paint and body work is the most expensive part but in my opinion the most critical. Thank you for the compliment
