Alright guys now forgive me I am a former LS1 guy so I am new here. I have a chance to buy an original 70LS6. No here is the thing....the cars is supposedly in England and this guy who is selling it is the owners Grandson. If I can get the VIN# can anyone here verify the authenticity of this car. Now another question the car has a column shift and also "very rare cloth interior?" Does this raise any red flags?

Can't verify a 70 SS with VIN.
Do a search in Chevelle Tech 2004 and previous years on identifying an SS and you will find the info you need.
Secondly 99% of overseas deals are shams/cons. I'd wouldn't waste my time on those "deals" IMO.

Thanks I will avoid this and maybe somewhere here I could put up a link to this ad?? The car is supposedly in the UK yet it has blacked out US style license plates and is listed in IN. The pics also do not look like the uk.

Further into the negotiations you will be asked to send a deposit by MO or Cashiers Check to prepay shipping or something else, possibly to an escrow service recommended by the seller. I'm guessing scam (photos are a clue and MO). Proceed carefully, look at the scam links in the Bug Hunt and Bench Racing sections.

to put up the link is easy. you can do it right here. Just copy it and paste it in the reply box and it should link it. Also at the top of the TC classifieds is an avenue for checking if the emailers addy has been used for other scams it is at the top of the page I linked below. HTH and good luck smile.gif
