I obviously live in Tampa, Florida and was wondering if anyone here on the forums has had any luck with or can recommend a local engine builder. Looking for a 383 Stroker to drive daily on the street. I am basically just getting my ducks in a row to decide whether or not I want to take the time and build it or would it be more cost effective to have it built.

Thanks everyone.

Well, I used the guys down in Deland, Express, they do off-shore boat 500+ci, but they will build anything you need. Had my machining done by them, and my GF had her #'s match 327 done by them too...turn around was prety darn quick too...so it's not Tampa but, just in case you can't find anyone, they are 3h away or less...depends on I4...

Jacen,

Give George Pils a call in Pinellas Park @ PIL's service and Machine. His number is 727-546-7000 and he's close to you and has an excellent reputation with small blocks and has built numerous engines including road race, drag and oval track. He also operates his engine building business under Southern Style racing engines. He's knowledgable and honest, a rarity not seen enough imo.
