mr 4 speed Mar 24th, 09, 10:07 AM IMHO,the price is reasonable for what it is. Give it a little time...
The only thing that turns me off are the seats..I have a fetish for nice interiors ;) :D
704EVER Mar 24th, 09, 10:10 AM Hey Mike, nice original car! It certainly seems like a fair starting price for a car that original. The lack of paperwork may hold back some interest, but the car does speak for itself. I think more than anything it's just a sign of the times, it takes longer to sell anything these days. It just takes the right guy at the right time. Have you had any interest at all?
d1_bradley Mar 24th, 09, 10:11 AM You asked so here ya go......
Number one, clean that car to "show" specs before taking pictures. I see a dingy engine compartment, dirty floor mats, so-so tire finish, average looking dash and door panels. Maybe even some new covers on those buckets. Get it CLEAN before presenting it to potential buyers.
Number two, go over that ad in DETAIL for proper grammar and spelling. Especially in the area of corporate names like Goodyear (not good year). People notice things like this, especially this crowd.
Number three, get closeup pictures of (at the very least) engine pad and cowl tag.
If the car was fully detailed and everything is correct and functional, its probably worth the money.
grandsport Mar 24th, 09, 10:12 AM Looks like a nice car! How much lower can they go?
704EVER Mar 24th, 09, 10:17 AM Mike, Mr. Bradley above has some very good advice. One of his points you should pay special attention to. With the lack of paperwork, you need the best possible picture of the pad stamp you can take, even if it means popping the alternator off to get it. It will be well worth your time.

1972convss454 Mar 24th, 09, 10:37 AM I have seen this car in person and it is a Nice Original Car. Michael has not done anything to this car other than minor stuff like new hoses, tires, belts, and exhaust. It has original drive train, paint, interior, etc. He has not wanted to touch it since it is a Survivor. The only damage is to the Pass side fender. It is mechanically in good shape and would not be afraid to drive it anywhere.
I beleive he is asking a fair price if someone is looking for a truely unmolested original car that you could get in and drive anywhere.
REMIX Mar 24th, 09, 12:34 PM Nice car. I think the price is fair.
Definitely clean her up and take better photos.

bookmaker19 Mar 24th, 09, 8:09 PM Michael, Have you searched the car for any docs??? I paid $25.3 for almost the same car and tore it apart for restoration so I think the price is fair. We did decode the car before purchase and it was all there except the carb & water pump. The owner had the original bill of sale and we found 2 buildsheets on the breakdown. The market may hold you back a little, be patient-if its not a must sell. If its a must sell dont let the sharks smell blood!
1BLACKHARLEY Mar 24th, 09, 8:55 PM MICHAEL, you have one of those colors that takes light well. do you know anybody with access to a wharehouse or large garage? some nice white walls so people can see what an original car you have. desrible year, desirable paint color, etc. this is a car i would spend $ to sell, even if i had to paint a wall or two, also the advice to detail before pics, right on. this is the kind of car e-bayers love. i'd spend $ on an ad, mine usually costs about $140, start bidding at 15k, put the resrve at your rock bottom price, put a 28k buy now, the guy who bids 25 will think he's getting a deal, you'll have your $ and everybody is happy...
