was wondering if anyone knew of a strike that GM had in 1969 when they were producing the 1970's cars? If so what month was it over? I had and apprasier here to give me the price on my 70 SS and he told about this, he also said my car was built 10A which is early OCT 1st week, and said it was one of the first that came off the assembly line in Atlanta after the strike. Can anyone verify for me. Thanks steel

The National GM strike was a year later, from 9/70 to 11/70.

I have info on Leeds (KC) and Los Angeles built 1970 cars for the month of Sept, a full month before yours, so there was no strike. Some plants just ramped up at different times. There were many plants producing the cars and if the orders were not there, production was slowed especially with a new model change.
