I have a 1964 Chvelle post car. I pulled the motor out and the motor mounts sit in front of the crossmember. Is that normal?

I would guess that they're 6 cyl mounts. My 64 has SB mounts that are close to centered on the crossmember.

I think your right. The mounts are for a six cylinder. Thanks. Now I need to find the right frame mounts

I know BB frame mounts are being reproduced by our favorite parts suppliers. No reason they won't work for both SB and BB.
