Does a 71 use the star rivets also? I got to looking at my cat the other day when I was putting the fenders on and I noticed that it has round rivets with that black caulk stuff in them. I know GM used the black caulk in the center of the rivets, but I wasn't sure how what years they used the star rivets up through...

The star rivets are on the VIN tag, not on the body tag. The body tag used hollow rivets that were filled with seam sealer.
