: Help with 12 bolt Decode

I have a 12 bolt housing with the following numbers:

Casting 3969278
Casting Date CON1
Axle Tube CCF1216B1

I think its a '70 3.31 posi, but I cant find the casting date anywhere. Could anyone help with this?

Oops...I meant I can't find the casting number anywhere. My Chevrolet by the Numbers book stops at 69 and I can't find the 70 and up book in town!

Is 70 the only year for the three letter gear code?
