I've added a new link to my ChevelleStuff (http://www.chevellestuff.com) site for easier navigation to decoding alternators, assembly plants, axle housing codes, body plates, engine castings, engine suffix codes, interior trim codes, paint codes, production numbers, protect-o-plates, Rochester carbs, and RPO codes.

I'm still working on the production numbers page to get a total production for each series/model (L6s plus V8s). Numbers tend to get a little blurry after awhile and these old eyes aren't what they used to be. :D

On the home page, select the 'Links' drop down menu and click on 'Quick Decoding'.

I'd again like to thank everyone that's donated pictures of everything and imparting their knowledge so it can be shared with the entire Chevelle community.

Absolutely fabulous Dale!! This is a definite service to the Chevelle community!

Feel free to look at the GM docs in my sig if they would add in anyway to your data, feel free. I think I have an RPO T93 not listed in the RPO list.

Tis Canadian data might be helpful, use if you like:

Thanks Ron. Looks like the Canada body plate does match the VIN as far was the model/series codes, such as 136 being a V8 designated on the body plate. There is still an ongoing friendly debate as to whether the U.S. counterpart body plate meant the same. With so many occasions of differences being reported, on 64 and 65 especially, of the VIN being 135 and body plate being 136 that some plants always used 136 regardless of L6 or V8. No arguments, mind you, just friendly dialog as to whether these were factory goofs or if it was the norm. I'd like to use the 69-74 Canadian plate explanation. Wouldn't have a 64-68 by chance in that book?

Do you happen to know what RPO T93 is?

T93 - Lamp and Tail Stop (special) is what the GM docs say... I think/guess this was the upgrade to the rear malibu trim and/or tailight bezeles for the 300 Deluxe Super Sport, but I am not sure.

When I have more time this week, I will check the book for earlier trim plate listings.
