My 69 Chevelle had some "custom" work done to the firewall to make the distributor fit. I am in the process of redoing the entire car and want to fix the firewall. I don't want it smooth just stock looking. If anyone has a picture of a 69 firewall in the location of the distributor would you please post one. I would really be grateful.

Scott gave you some excellent photos. On my website I have some scattered around with just the bare firewall if your interested, like maybe on the rotisserie and jig and whatever.

well, after looking at those closeup great pics, i now see that i need that rubber plug, or wire gromlet. anybody have one, or know where i can get one...thanks..

The big rubber grommet, if that is the one you mentioned, is related to the A/C equipped chevelle firewalls only, of you don't have A/C it is not punched out. If I remember correctly. take care Andy
