Qicck question for you guy's. A few years back i switched my bench seat out for buckets. When i installed them i didn't use the floor adaptors. Question is, If i put in the mounting brackets, will it get me anymore leg room and how much will it raise the seats? When i had them redone, they seem to be alot taller and set me pretty high in the car.

Your saying you only have 1 side bolted in?

I dont see how it would give you more leg room.

I think overall it will raise the side about a half inch. I think the way the buckets are made that they sit lower in the rear.

My Buckets are not as high as my bench was...

Im not sure but it seems like the guy who done my seats may have overstuffed the bottom cushions. They sit way higher than my brother in laws 72. and they are bolted on both sides

Without the brackets, your buckets would tend to lean into each other. Adding the brackets would straighten them out but, as mentioned, wouldn't do much for giving you more room and would hurt your headroom a little. Your seats are to tall now? Did you buy replacement foams (buns) for them? I refoamed my 71's and they did the same thing. I believe there are two seat foam suppliers now and one fits and the other is to tall. I don't know who has what though.

With my bench my head hit the headliner. In my 4 door AND my 2 door.

My headliner in my 2 door wouldnt need to be replaced but my head hit the seam and ripped it.

I recovered a set of buckets. Used the original cushions and even added padding and there is 6 inches between my head and the roof.

I added the metal mounts awhile ago and remember my seats leaning a bit. They dont lean now and look perfect.

People stop by all day (car is in the front window of the shop) and look at my car and when we get to talking I ask for them to pick out mistakes. Some find some but usually are the ones I know about. Noone said anything about my seats being wrong or feeling weird, including my wife...
