I'm thinking of selling my Chevelle driver.
I had it sold once, but the buyer backed out(buyers remorse?).

1967 Chevelle Malibu made to look like a Super Sport.
This is not a pampered show car. It has an SS hood and SS emblems, clean engine compartment,
complete undercoating on the entire underside of the car.
350 cubic inch engine and a TH 350 automatic trans.

This is not a showroom condition car but it looks like one from 10 feet.
Car will run all day with no problems.

New Cragar Street Star Wheels
New Brakes
New B.F. Goodrich Radial T/As

See it here:

What it doesn't have:
Big Block-NO
Power Steering -NO
Power Brakes-NO
Disk Brakes-NO
Air Conditioning-NO
Working Radio-NO

How much should I be asking for this?

Charlie,
Nice looking straight car. Quite a few viewings but no reply.
Hard to price what appears to be a very nice SS clone in today's market and economy.
I figured if I made a stab at it that you would get more replies.
I am not a buyer/seller of these cars. I just love them and own one and have for years and follow everything about them.
If it was mine, I would price it at 20K but expect to get 15K today if no paint issues such as bubbling and everything mechanical and electrical works.
Any less, I would keep it.
Shucks, I'd keep it anyway.

I sold one last fall in a slightly better market. Here is how it was set up.

454
TH 400 with correct console and shifter
A/C
Pw
PS
PDB
original 67 buckets w/ rare headrests
Blue/Blue w/black vinyl top
Rallies and redlines
Alpine CD with Infinity/Polk speakers
Needed only correct dash trim, front grill, and 12 bolt to be a pretty close appearing clone.
Needed nothing else. Nice older restoration

Sells for $21500 my part.

I think pricing your car at $20K may keep interested buyers away and not make an offer you can live with. Most people figure a car has some negotiation in it but 25% /$5K may be greedy. No matter what you feel you have to have for the car keep in mind how many similar to it are for sale. It is tough out there right now especially for the common/average cars. Even the nice ones.

Charlie, it is a nice looking car in the pics. But you state that it is not a show car. Is there paint problems, bubbles, rust, wavy body panels, orange peel?

A malibu with a small block, bench seat, automatic, no options, 10 bolt rear.

What do you think it's worth? We can tell you if it is realistic or not.

I say 10 to 15 grand. Where in that range is up to you and the buyer.

NO PS, NO PB, NO Air-conditioning would kill the deal for me unless the price was right.
