Stamped on the block:
T0714CM 15R521515
All I figure out is Tonowanda on July, 14. Not sure about the "CM" unless it is actually "CMR". Anyone have any more info?

What kind of motor is it, and it is out of your '68 Malibu? In my limited references I don't find a CMR, and a CM is a 1968 250 with a M/T either out of a Camaro or general Chevrolet.

Engine Casting numbers - GM3970014 G375 T7 CONV2
According to MORTEC it's a 70-76 350, which makes sense (Casting Date of July 3, 75). I pulled it from a 1965 C-10, but it was not the original and the guy I bought it from was clueless. The last two letters could be GM, but I don't know if that's a real code either!

Just did some more scratching on the block and sure enough came up with one more letter on the end, "J". That makes it T0714CMJ...

I was looking in a '73 motors manual, that's why I couldn't find a match. For some reason, I can't put my finger on some oher books I had before I moved. I hate moving!
Hopefully someone else wil chime in.

CMJ was used in 1975 in Chevelle and full size cars. Its a 350-145 hp RPO L65 2-bbl carb and TH350 trans
15R521515
1 - Chevrolet
5 - 1975
R - Arlington Texas final car assembly
521515 - unit serial number
Appears to be a Chevelle motor, full size cars were not being assembly there in 1975.
