From your description it sounds like a Rat All the bolts are 5/16" except the two that go into the front cover but the two rear ones may need to be a little longer if you have real short ones. 442 Harv Mar 22nd, 09, 1:52 PM Did you use a one piece pan gasket? The end bolts are larger then the middle ones, but what I had problem with the one piece gasket was thicker, and I had to put in longer bolts to compress the gasket, then, I was able to put the orignal shorter one back in Wolfplace Mar 22nd, 09, 2:04 PM Did you use a one piece pan gasket? It sounds like a big block because you mention the 2 bolts that go into the timing cover. All of the other Big Block bolts are the same. Just installed a new oil pan. All my oil pan bolts are 5/16-18 UNC except the front 2 (front one ea side) which are 1/4-20 UNC... | ||
