Hey All:
Just moved to the outskirts of the Mile High City from sea level. I have an Edelbrock 650 on my 396. I have the new metering rod I need to compensate for the altitude...any suggestions on timing at such high altitude?
Thanks!

Hi and Welcome.

Usually at a significant altitude like that you'd want to take a couple jet sizes out to start rather than changing the rods unless the rods have a larger diameter on both the fat cruise part and the thinner power tip. Also, the secondary jets will need an adjustment, at least a couple sizes.

for starters try increasing the timing 4°, see how it does. You might be able to do more, but get some miles on it, see if you hear any pinging.
