So......everything was going so well, until I tried to mount the calipers to the brackets. Here is what I get (pictures from the drivers side).

So.....a quick overview of the issue. The top seems to line up OK, but the bottom, not so much (as you can see from the pictures). It falls in right behind the lower outer tie rod end, and it prevents it from sitting where it needs to. Even if it would sit there, it would be impossible to get the moutning bolt in. My conclusion is I have the wrong bracket. Anybody else have an idea...................?????

Nazarah,

Looks to me that you've got the caliper brackets swapped (i.e., the passener's side bracket is mounted on the driver's side). On the driver's side, the caliper should be mounted so that the middle of the caliper is at approximately 2 o'clock. On the passenger side, the middle of caliper should be at approximately 10 o'clock.

What he said. Caliper goes in back not in front of rotor. Right...? That's what that's pic tells me.

Well, the caliper and the rotor are both stamped with an "R" that shows which goes on the right (drivers) side.......unless they are stamped wrong. That could very well be.

Oh, wow, wait. I just thought about this post again with a clear mind this morning. I think I have the right bracket on the right side, just backwards...........agreed?

They were on the wrong side. Swapped them around, and everything fit together A1.

So far, the kit from CPP has been very good to me :) Even if I did have to put it together twice due to my own mistakes!

Right is the passenger's side. Left is the driver's side.

Glad you got it worked out.
