Hey I decided to use the original extensions and had them polished, the shine is brilliant but I am at a loss on how to paint the black properly. I tried to mask it but it did not work out very well, does anyone know how to paint the extensions and light bezels so that you match the SS design and don't have any overspray?

You will have to mask them. I use SEM Trim Black, pull the tape rt after I finish painting. That way you get a much cleaner paint edge.

I did it this winter, just like Gene said. Used Krylon semi-flat and it came out nice. Just alot of masking and some careful paint trimming with a razor when dry.

I would use SEM Trim Black as it is designed for spraying trim, grille/ headlight/ window moldings ect (sticks better than regular paints) ....
Several light coats of SEM and pealing the tape right away will give a nice clean tape edge
