I just picked up a Holley carburetor and I am looking for application info...

Its a List #4346

I know its a 780, Vacuum secondaries, divorces choke with diaphragm pull-off, primary bowl vent/flapper, dual feed, etc (checked the Holley website listings), but what did it come off? I think the owner mentioned "1969"?

And I forget how to decode the Holley date codes...

Here the numbers from the Airhorn:

3959164-GE
LIST-4346
262

Thanks,
Tony

Well Tony, a very sought after, rare and valuable carb. Used on all 1969 L78, L89 and L72.

However, this is not a carb that originally came on one of those cars as it would appear to be a service item. My 4346 is dated 924 which relates to 1969, February, fourth week. This looks like it is 1972, June, second week if my decoding is correct.

Although not as popular as a 1969 date, it would still have some value for one of the above car owners. Hope this helps.

Thanks Don,

so quick...

I picked this up complete at a swap meet for $120, looks good and shafts feel tight... I plan on rebuilding it and possibly recoloring it...

I mainly bought it because I was looking for a "correct looking" carb for my 66 L78 Non-matching numbers car (#3613 carb)... I wanted the primary-bowl vent and the divorced choke mechanism that doesn't come with the non-OEM carbs...

I'll probably keep it unless I find a "deal" on the 3613...

Thanks again...
