Two lane blacktop is on the Turner Classic Movie channel tonite at 11:30 pm pacific time. Kind of an old classic with James Taylor and the American graffiti 55 Chevy. Just a heads up.

Awesome Movie. Every time I watch it, I always catch new details that I missed before.
Here is some movie trivia. When the 55 raced the 32 Ford, that was the owner of the 32 Ford. He would not let anyone drive his car.

More trivia, the mid-year corvette driven by "Mr Barnhall" was also his car and was the reigning record holder on the Lakeland track. He had to lift to lose to the 55. He raced and won at least once before the clip you see in the movie. Tons of cool stuff about that movie on the 2lane blacktop site.

It just happened to come on late last night. So being the night owl that I am I watched it again :)

A couple of weeks ago there was an old movie (circa 1955) on there that was one of those Micky Spillane, Mike Hammer deals. I think it was Kiss Me Deadly(?). Anyhow he ends up driving this first generation Corvette in it. (Does anyone know the year of that one?) I kept holding my breath hoping they weren't going to trash the car in it. Luckily they didn't. I love those oldies!
