: 4 speed smallblock_chevelle Mar 25th, 04, 10:56 PM i have a 4 speed tranny out of a 71 chevelle. i found the build sheet of the car and it says i have a M20 4 spd but the owner who i bought it from says he is sure it is a saginaw. #s on the side of it are GM 8K 338998 there are probably more #s if I looked harder. can anyone help me out Fathom Chevelle Mar 25th, 04, 11:01 PM Is the tranny aluminum or steel?
